ICON® Resin Infiltration
ICON® Resin Infiltration is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that improves the appearance of white spot lesions while helping to stop very early tooth decay from progressing. White spots can develop after braces, from enamel hypomineralization, or as the earliest stage of tooth decay.
Unlike traditional treatment, ICON requires no drilling, no injections, and removes virtually no healthy tooth structure. The treatment works by allowing a highly fluid resin to penetrate the porous enamel, blending the white spots with the surrounding tooth and strengthening the weakened enamel.
ICON is a safe, comfortable, and effective way to improve the appearance of teeth while preserving their natural structure.
What happens during treatment?
Treatment with ICON is simple and completed in one visit.
- The tooth is cleaned and isolated to keep it dry.
- A gentle conditioning gel is applied to prepare the enamel.
- The tooth is rinsed and dried.
- The ICON resin is carefully applied and allowed to penetrate the affected enamel.
- The resin is hardened with a special curing light.
- The tooth is polished to create a smooth, natural-looking finish.
